Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who had been both an athlete and captain of the 2012 Fierce Five as well as the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In the 2012 Olympics she took gold on both the team floor as well as the individual events. Bronze was taken through using the balance bar. She was the first Olympic gymnast who won the most medals. In 2016, she and the teammate Gabby Doug were among the first Americans to take home back-to-back golds at team events. She also won silvers for individual all-around and floor exercises. The three years that passed between her two Olympic Games, she took a break. In addition, she was a member of two gold-winning American gymnastics squads. Her most favorite sport is floor exercise. She started learning gymnastics at the age of two years old. Aly supports her favorite charity, the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to commemorate her grandmother who died due to cancer. Aly plans on pursuing the field of fashion, and hopes to broaden her leotard line and socks in future. She is writing a book entitled Fierce to be published later this year.
